If I could describe a wedding with the same feelings that a person gets from a great night of dancing, this would be the day. In fact, it was literally filled with dancing from the getting ready to the grand exit. No kidding. As a photographer who likes to dance this is kind of a great day. At least there was never a problem getting photos of everyone enjoying themselves. And since Aly and Cody are incredibly photogenic, well . . . take a look.

Like I said, this is where the dancing began and it only stopped so we could make it to the ceremony in time! These girls are wild!!

Strawberry Farms is one of the most unique venues in Orange County. It feels completely out of place in the “OC” and is perfect for a rustic or “country” wedding feel.

Hoffmann has photographed at all of the Turnip Rose properties many, many times. Including the Grand Newport Plaza, Celebrations, and the Promenade & Gardens.

I spent a sleepless night wondering how I was going to take pictures of a 25 person wedding party in a city that I have no experience with. I had heard once that Kansas City was filled with haunted places, train tracks, brick buildings and a big river. That is mostly true, but as it turns out there are some good pubs there as well (i.e., Flying Saucer). Two days of scouting locations and connecting with another local wedding photographer – I was good to go. Here are some highlights from Angeli and Damon’s wonderful fall wedding day in beautiful Kansas City . . .

One of the first resorts in Cabo San Lucas was the Hacienda Beach Hotel in downtown at the Marina. Since 1963 it has seen its share of movie stars and makeovers, and with its latest remodel is now called the Hacienda Beach Club & Residences. Check out their site for pricing on owning anything from a one bedroom to a beach-front villa. Besides fulfilling the definition of the word ‘luxury,’ the Hacienda Beach Club has one of the widest and whitest beaches in Cabo along with all the yummy usuals – spa, access to golf, pools and margaritas. Mark and Jennifer hail from fantastic Los Angeles, CA and actually found me through previous clients who got married in Mexico. They were kind enough to invite me for the entire weekend which included a condo in neighboring San Jose, rehearsal dinner at the Baja Cantina, a day at the Sheraton Hacienda, and an incredible reception party at Pancho’s Restaurant and Tequila Bar in downtown Cabo (emphasis on the ‘Tequila Bar’).

As always, in Mexico there is never a shortage of unique details to photograph and the warm light and textures add alot of richness. . .

For weddings at the Sheraton Hacienda there are two choices – beach or chapel . Mark and Jennifer chose the beautiful on-site Mexican chapel for their ceremony and it helped make their destination wedding in Cabo feel more “Cabo-liscious.”







AAAHHHH!! Pancho’s!! Lobster and tequila! What more can I say?!?!?

This is what you get when you ask for the ‘dirtiest’ tequila in the house!! What?!?! Rattlesnakes in a 5 gallon jug, tequila served with a ladle! Warning: there are side effects. . .
